Guide
How long do bank bonuses take to pay?
Usually a few weeks after you finish the bank's requirements. A few banks pay on a fixed schedule counted from the day you open the account, which can take three to five months.
Two kinds of clock
Some banks start counting when you finish the requirements, like your last qualifying direct deposit. Others count from the day you open the account, no matter how fast you finish. The second kind takes longer, so a good plan opens those first.
Fastest right now: Chime, which pays within about 7 days after you finish the requirements.

If your bonus doesn't show up
Wait until the latest date in the bank's terms. If it still hasn't posted, contact the bank with the date and amount of each qualifying deposit. Keep the account open and the fee waived until it's settled.
Times come from each bank's own terms, checked in the last two weeks. Business days are shown as calendar days, rounded up.
